🛠️ Installation Instructions:
Recommended Tools:
-
Heat gun or blow dryer
-
Felt-tip squeegee or padded glove
Prep Before Installation:
1. Clean DRLs thoroughly with soap/water or 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove all dust, debris, and oils.
2. Dry the surface completely—ensure no residue is left in edges or crevices.
Application Process:
1. Begin with either the driver side or passenger side DRL tint.
2. Align the overlay carefully, tacking down the horizontal edge closest to the end of the DRL that points upward towards the sky.
3. Depending on how close the black surround is to the DRL, you may need to start on the vertical edge that is parallel to the middle DRL bar, then work your way to the rounded edge and towards the horizontal edge that faces up.
4. Tucking into the black surround may be required, depending on how your black surround is fashioned onto the DRL.
5. Slowly lay the overlay across the DRL, guiding it with one hand while applying and smoothing it down with the other.
6. Once the driver side or passenger side is done, repeat the steps for the other DRL.
7. After both sides are complete, begin working on the middle bar.
8. Clean the middle bar again before application (dust/debris may have collected).
9. Align one edge of the overlay with the middle bar and work your way across.
10. Use a felt-tip squeegee or your fingers to press the vinyl from top to bottom, pushing out air bubbles.
11. Apply gentle heat for stretching around curves if needed.
12. Once fully applied, use heat to post-set the vinyl and activate the adhesive.
13. If bubbles persist, reheat and press them out toward the nearest edge.
💡 Pro Tip: If you make a mistake, gently peel up the vinyl, apply light heat, and try again.
